Moretons specialise in the SW1, SW3 and SW7 areas of the Royal Borough of Chelsea & Kensington and the City of Westminster, located in prime central London.

The main residential areas are Belgravia, Chelsea, Pimlico, South Kensington and Westminster.

Belgravia
Belgravia is located both in the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.  Characterised by grand terraces of white stucco houses, it is one of the wealthiest and most fashionable residential districts in the world and focused around Belgrave Square and Eaton Square.  Much of it, known as the Grosvenor Estate, is still owned by a family property company, the Grosvenor Group, owned by the Duke of Westminster.  You will find an array of boutique style shops, cafés and world class restaurants in the area, most notably on and around the ever popular Elisabeth Street.  Belgravia has the highest concentration of embassies in the whole of London.  Transport links are ideally located at Sloane Square, Knightsbridge and Victoria train and coach station.

Chelsea
Chelsea is an affluent neighbourhood equivalent to that of New York's Upper East Side, Beverly Hills or the 16th arrondissement of Paris and includes the SW3 and SW10 postcodes.  Chelsea once had a reputation as London's bohemian quarter, the haunt of artists, musicians, radicals, painters and poets which in the 1970’s moved to the Notting Hill and Camden area which remains to this day.  Its many and most desirable garden squares and white stucco fronted houses are now favoured by footballers, investment bankers, film stars and the young and “glitzy”.  The King's Road remains the major artery through Chelsea and is a shopping mecca for the rich and famous.  The main transport links into the area, including busses and the underground, are located on Slone Square, the Kings Road and Earls Court and Fulham for SW10.
The Chelsea and Knightsbridge property market attracts considerable international attention and is viewed as a "Global Ultra Prime Residential Area".

Pimlico
Nestled between Buckingham Palace Road and Vauxhall Bridge Road, is characterised by its "village style" atmosphere and grid layout of stucco fronted buildings. It is an early Victorian architectural masterpiece created between 1836 and 1875 by Thomas Cubitt and Robert Grosvenor, the first Marquis of Westminster.

South Kensington
Neighbouring the equally affluent centres of Knightsbridge, Chelsea, and Kensington proper, South Kensington, with SW7 postcode, covers some of the most exclusive real estate in the world.  It is hard to define notional boundaries for South Kensington, but a common definition is the commercial area around the tube station and the adjacent graceful garden squares and streets opposite the Victoria and Albert Museum. The smaller neighbourhood around Gloucester Road tube station can also be considered part of South Kensington, as well as the institution area around Exhibition Road, which includes such famous names as the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Royal Albert Hall, Imperial College London, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Royal College of Art and the Royal College of Music.
Popular with students, due to the vicinity to the various colleges and universities, South Kensington also has a significant French presence, evidenced by the location of the consulate, the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle - a large French secondary school opposite the Natural History Museum - and the French Institute, home to a French cinema.

Westminster
Located between Vauxhall Bridge Road and St James Park, consists mainly of both mansion blocks with well proportioned rooms and high ceilings, and modern portered blocks with underground parking and access to communal gyms. It is well placed for the transport facilities of Victoria train and coach stations and the amenities of Victoria Street, which has many Government buildings, offices, shops and restaurants.

Whatever you are looking for the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and City of Westminster encompass all tastes and provides a style of property to suit everyone - whether you are looking for a house, flat, mews house, garden, square or portered block.
