Pimlico Area Guide

Situated south of Belgravia, north of the River Thames and to the west of Westminster lies Pimlico, a beautiful characterful neighborhood full of Victorian buildings and garden squares.  Pimlico’s notable residents have included politician Winston Churchill, designer Laura Ashley, philosopher Swami Vivekananda, actor Laurence Olivier, illustrator and author Aubrey Beardsley, Kenyan nationalist Jomo Kenyatta and inventor of lawn tennis Major Walter Wingfield.
 
 
Shopping

Pimlico is home to a number of clothing, health and beauty, food and drink shops and antique stores. Sainsbury’s and Tesco Express stores are based in Pimlico and will soon be joined by a Little Waitrose.
